• COMMUNITY CENTER:  The new Community Center is nearing completion.  This will be a super addition to the community where people can gather to exercise, play basketball, or relax.  The Grand Opening is scheduled for October 19th, 2002 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  Special guests include Senator DeMuzio and State Representative Hannig. UPDATE:The Community Center was completed as scheduled.The center has been a very useful addition to the Village of Royal Lakes.It has been the sight for various partys as well as family gatherings and community activities.

    COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY CENTER:  Funded by Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois offers the residents of Royal Lakes and the surrounding area FREE computer access, as well as high speed internet access.  If you don't know much about computers--come on in, the Center operator will help you.  The CTC is now located in the new  Community Center.  The hours of operation are Tuesday 2:30 to 5;00 p.m. If you have any further questions, please call 618-836-7124.

  • Hillyard Township recently moved to the Village of Royal Lakes. Mr. Randy Darr,Township Supervisor, is pleased to be able to conduct all Township business in one location. The new Township Hall is located at the corner of Aspen Dr. and Highway 16 in the Village of Royal Lakes. The new Township Hall is also the new Polling Place for Hillyard Township. First general election will be held in the new location November 7,2006.
